Overtake!

Freelance photographer Kouya Madoka lost confidence in his work after one published image triggered a wave of online abuse, leaving him unable to photograph people as he once did. His life shifts when an assignment takes him to a Formula 4 race and he instinctively raises his camera while watching young driver Haruka Asahina.

Haruka races for the tiny Komaki team, which struggles for funding against competitors with vastly greater resources. After Madoka captures an honest moment of vulnerability on the track, he impulsively decides to support both driver and team. Money alone cannot solve their problems, so he searches for other ways to help, while Haruka's determination gives him a reason to photograph people again. Both men are chasing a second chance: one behind the wheel, the other behind the lens.
