Akito clings to the belief that the bond between the zodiac members of the Soma family and their god is eternal and that none of them should ever leave. What Akito calls love, however, has become a prison that wounds everyone tied to it. Tohru Honda can no longer watch the people she cares about live beneath the curse, especially as her feelings for Kyo become impossible to deny. When zodiac bonds begin breaking one after another, secrets hidden by the family for years finally surface and Akito reaches a point where the old world cannot be preserved through fear alone. The ending waiting for them depends on more than breaking a supernatural curse; each person must find the courage to choose relationships that do not require captivity.
