Douglas was once a legendary enhancement mage who could push his companions far beyond their normal limits. When his own strength declined, however, he was expelled from the hero's party and eventually stripped of his adventurer's license. With no place to return to and no clear purpose left, he becomes a wanderer after losing almost everything that once defined him.

His path changes when he meets Rabi, a little girl burdened by a dangerous curse. Rather than leave her to her fate, Douglas chooses to travel with her and search for a way to save her. What begins as an aimless life after failure slowly becomes a chance to build a small family and discover that his real worth was never tied to the title he lost.
