Hakufu Sonsaku and her allies investigate a sudden wave of attacks connected to the sacred Magatama. The defeated fighters all carry strange marks resembling a sword guard, and rumors point toward powerful warriors arriving from the west. When even the formidable Kan'u Unchou is reportedly overcome, the threat can no longer be dismissed as an ordinary territorial clash.

Hakufu, Koumei, Ekitoku, and Ryuubi gather their strength and seek answers before more fighters fall. Their search draws them toward enemies whose abilities may exceed the ranks they know, setting the stage for a violent confrontation over the fate carried within the Magatama.
