Gamera: Rebirth

In the summer of 1989, Boko, Joe, and Junichi are spending their final vacation before moving on from elementary school when the kaiju Gyaos attacks Tokyo and destroys the ordinary world they know. In the middle of the devastation, another giant creature appears: the turtle-like Gamera, who fights Gyaos and protects the children despite suffering terrible injuries.

The battle is only the beginning. More enormous monsters emerge one after another, and the children become connected to Gamera in a way that keeps pulling them toward each new confrontation. What began as an ordinary summer turns into a journey across Japan through kaiju attacks and organizations trying to understand or exploit them. Between fear and loss, their last summer together becomes something none of them can leave unchanged.
