Twelve years ago, the Nine-Tailed Fox nearly destroyed the Hidden Leaf Village until the Fourth Hokage stopped it by sealing the beast inside a newborn boy named Naruto Uzumaki. Naruto grows up shunned by villagers who fear what he carries, fighting loneliness with pranks and an unshakable dream of becoming Hokage so everyone will finally acknowledge him. After becoming a ninja, he joins Team 7 with Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno under Kakashi Hatake. Simple missions gradually give way to real danger, rivalry, and loss, and Naruto discovers that earning recognition means far more than becoming strong: it means protecting the people who have finally become precious to him.
