Nana is trying to become part of life at the Kaede Inn, but her new artificial limbs and lack of experience make even simple chores disastrous. Her frustration is worsened by Nyu, whose harmless behavior cannot erase Nana's memory of Lucy, the Diclonius who once tortured and mutilated her.

When Nana considers removing that danger herself, an unexpected act of kindness from Nyu makes certainty harder to hold onto.
