Angel Beats!

Yuzuru Otonashi wakes inside a school with no memory of how he arrived, only for an armed girl named Yuri to tell him the impossible truth: he is dead, and this place lies somewhere between life and whatever comes next. Yuri leads the Afterlife Battlefront, a group of students rebelling against their fate and fighting student council president Kanade, whom they call Angel. Otonashi joins them while trying to recover his lost memories, yet he cannot fully accept that Kanade is the enemy they believe her to be. As he learns how each student died and why they remain there, the battle gradually becomes a search for what it means to accept a life that ended with unfinished hopes.
