Synopsis

Prince Arslan of Pars grows up gentle and uncertain beneath a distant father and an indifferent court. During his first major battle, betrayal allows the Lusitanian army to crush Pars, forcing the young prince to flee with the loyal warrior Daryun.

Arslan gathers the strategist Narsus, artist Elam, priestess Farangis, and musician Gieve while seeking to reclaim his kingdom. His journey exposes slavery, religious hatred, and secrets about his own birth, challenging him to become a ruler different from the father whose throne he hopes to restore.
