Synopsis

After parting with Wuxin, Xiao Se and Lei Wujie finally reach Xueyue City. Lei Wujie challenges the city's famous Ascension Pavilion and seeks the sword deity Li Hanyi, hoping to persuade her to visit his master. Their meeting leads to a harsh promise: if Lei Wujie can withstand three of her sword strikes after training, she will leave the mountain with him.

Months pass as Lei Wujie grows stronger and Xiao Se is drawn deeper into Xueyue City's affairs. Far away in Tianqi, the princes react to Xiao Se's movements and begin gathering allies of their own. While the young travelers pursue martial growth and old promises, a political scheme quietly forms around the city that has taken them in.
