Jinling Yu Mao

After General Kou is killed, his guardian cat Zhan Ao loses the will to fight and becomes a stray wandering Jinling without purpose. The city soon gives him little chance to remain uninvolved: people begin transforming into beasts, strange rumors spread, and then the Crown Prince vanishes without explanation.

Young investigator Bao Zheng finds the injured Zhan Ao and cares for him, drawing both of them into the same mystery. Together with Jinmaoshu and Kou Zhu, the late general's daughter, they trace the connections between the transformations and disappearances. What first appears to be a collection of unrelated cases leads toward a single conspiracy and gives Zhan Ao a new reason to use the claws he abandoned after his master's death.
