Witch Watch

Morihito Otogi descends from a line of ogres who once served as witches' familiars, leaving him with strength far beyond an ordinary human. He hopes for a quiet start to high school, but childhood friend Nico Wakatsuki returns from magical training and announces that she has chosen him as her familiar, with the additional complication that the two will now live under the same roof.

Nico has loved Morihito for years, while he approaches the arrangement with extreme seriousness because a prophecy warns that disaster will strike her. Nico's unpredictable magic creates daily problems long before the real threats arrive, and more supernatural companions soon enter their lives. Between comedy and romance, Morihito finds himself protecting Nico from fate and, quite often, from her own spells.
