Synopsis
Humanity has only one year left before radiation makes Earth uninhabitable. In 2199, attacks by the alien state of Gamilas have devastated the planet and destroyed its seas. Hope lies on Iscandar, a distant world with a device capable of removing the contamination. Using advanced engine plans sent from that planet, humanity rebuilds the battleship Yamato for space travel. Its crew must cross 148,000 light-years, collect the device, and bring it home before time runs out.
