Sankarea

Chihiro Furuya's obsession with zombies begins as an eccentric hobby, but he takes it seriously enough to create a resurrection potion when his beloved cat Baabu dies. During his nighttime experiments, he meets Rea Sanka, the daughter of a wealthy family whose controlling father has made her life suffocating. Rea finds in Chihiro someone she can trust with a simple wish: to escape and live like an ordinary girl.

After an accident kills Rea shortly after she secretly drinks Chihiro's potion, the impossible happens and she rises again as a zombie. Chihiro's fantasy abruptly becomes a real responsibility, while Rea sees her undead body as a strange second chance at the freedom she never had. As they search for a way to preserve her body, she begins discovering ordinary experiences for the first time, and their relationship grows into something far less simple than Chihiro's old fascination with the dead.
