Mitsubachi Maya no Bouken

Maya is a newly born honeybee whose curiosity is much larger than the hive's strict rules allow. Raised to become a worker, she struggles to accept a life in which every bee must simply follow orders. Hoping to find new flowers and bring more honey home, Maya leaves the hive without permission.

Her friend Willy is sent after her and soon joins the journey. Beyond the familiar honeycomb, the two encounter a huge variety of insects, beautiful places, dangers, and moments of loss. Maya's independence often gets her into trouble, but every meeting teaches her something new about nature, responsibility, and other lives, slowly turning the impulsive young bee into someone wiser without extinguishing her curiosity.
