Chainsaw Man

Denji inherits a crushing debt and spends his youth hunting devils for criminals who take almost everything he earns. His only companion is Pochita, a small chainsaw devil who fights beside him in exchange for blood. Denji's dreams are painfully modest: decent food, a safe bed, and a life where someone cares whether he exists. When betrayal kills the life he knew, Pochita becomes his heart and revives him as a hybrid able to grow chainsaws from his body. Makima offers food, shelter, and a place in Public Safety as long as he obeys. Denji finally approaches the ordinary life he wanted, without yet understanding how easily desire itself can become a leash.
