Rihito Sajou is a quiet honors student, while Hikaru Kusakabe is a sociable guitarist who seems to move through life at an entirely different rhythm. They have little reason to cross paths until Kusakabe notices Sajou struggling with the class song for an upcoming chorus festival and offers to practice with him after school.

The singing sessions become time both boys look forward to, and their differences begin creating harmony rather than distance. Kusakabe is direct about what he feels, while Sajou needs time to understand what is happening and accept the possibility of love. Between school, music, and questions about life after graduation, each learns how to listen to the other even when words are not enough.
