Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi

Sumireko Ogawa was a celebrated young writer, but at twenty-eight she works in a bookstore and struggles to complete a new novel after losing confidence in her talent. When she reads verses from a mysterious book, her body suddenly returns to childhood and with it comes the energy and inspiration she thought she had lost.

Her coworker Ren Adashino knows the transformation is not a harmless miracle but a supernatural “oddity” that can eventually kill her. He helps restore her adult body and then draws her into investigating other paranormal incidents while he and his sister Oto search for a way back to their own home. Each mystery connects modern legends to human desires and teaches Sumireko that when people or things disappear, there may always be a story no one has heard.
