Shoushimin Series

Jougorou Kobato has decided to live as a quiet, ordinary student after his intelligence and curiosity caused trouble in the past. His classmate Yuki Osanai wants the same thing, so the two make a pact to help each other pursue the modest life of unremarkable 'little citizens,' far from investigations and unnecessary distinction.

Strange incidents keep finding them anyway. Minor thefts, everyday mysteries, and behavior whose contradictions are difficult to ignore awaken Kobato's analytical instincts, while Osanai's calm exterior hides a much sharper side. Every attempt to live simply raises the same question in a new form: can people truly abandon their nature just because they decide they should?
