Ike is the Demon Lord Army's strongest magician and commander of the Immortal Brigade, feared for conquering human fortresses with astonishing speed. His soldiers see a brilliant and merciless demon officer, and none of them know the secret hidden beneath his robes and mask: Ike is human.

Raised by a demon and forced to conceal his origin to survive, Ike has no desire to exterminate humanity or let the war continue forever. As his influence grows, he tries to use military success to create a path where humans and demons can coexist. Every political or battlefield victory, however, also increases the danger that both sides will discover what he really is.
