Anonymous messages draw a group of young people into a game controlled by someone who never appears before them and calls himself the Emperor. The question is simple: do you want to live? The rule governing the game is far crueler. Whenever a vote is held, the side that receives the majority dies.

Saneatsu, Saaya, and the others struggle to survive a system where greater numbers become a weakness instead of strength.
