Okinawa de Suki ni Natta Ko ga Hougen Sugite Tsurasugiru

Teruaki Nakamura transfers from Tokyo to Okinawa and quickly falls for his cheerful classmate Kana Higa. There is one major obstacle: Kana speaks in such a strong Okinawan dialect that Teruaki often understands only fragments of what she says, turning every conversation into a small language test.

Kana's friend Hina Kyan helps translate unfamiliar words and explains local food, festivals, and customs. What Teruaki fails to notice as easily is that Hina herself has feelings for him. His effort to understand one girl's dialect becomes an introduction to an entire culture and to a romantic triangle whose emotions are no easier to translate.
