Make a Girl

Akira Mizutamari is a gifted young inventor who reaches a point where his projects no longer produce the result he wants. Searching for a way through a problem he cannot solve, he decides to use science for something far more ambitious than another device: create an artificial girl he names Number 0.

Number 0 is meant to be an answer Akira built with his own hands, but her existence raises questions no equation can settle. She learns, reacts, and develops a relationship with him, blurring the line between programmed behavior and genuine feeling. The more she resembles an independent person, the less control Akira has over what he created or where their connection will lead.
