Tetsunabe no Jan!

Jan Akiyama is a brilliant, arrogant teenage chef who arrives at Gobancho Restaurant carrying an old ambition: surpass the culinary legacy his grandfather considered its greatest rival. There he meets Kiriko Gobancho, the owner's granddaughter and an excellent chef who believes food should begin with the person who will eat it.

Jan could not disagree more. To him, cooking is competition and the kitchen is a battlefield for proving who has the best technique, nerve, and strategy. Their opposing philosophies drive them into local and national contests where Jan uses ruthless creativity to win even when rivals try to sabotage him. With every dish, heart and victory collide between two cooks equally unwilling to back down.
