Medalist

Tsukasa Akeuraji once dreamed of becoming a competitive singles figure skater, but starting too late closed that path before he could reach the level he wanted. Nearly resigned to leaving the dream behind, he meets Inori Yuitsuka, a shy fifth-grader who sneaks onto the rink because her mother does not believe she has a future in the sport.

Tsukasa recognizes something painfully familiar in Inori's determination: a serious ambition that no one has been willing to take seriously. He agrees to coach her, and the girl who could barely say her dream aloud begins chasing an enormous goal, the Olympics and a medal of her own. Talented rivals and years of demanding practice stand ahead, but every step on the ice gives both student and coach a chance to redefine what they once believed was already too late.
