Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu

Months have passed since Hikaru vanished in the mountains and returned a week later as if nothing had happened. Everyone sees the same face, memories, and voice, but Yoshiki knows his best friend died up there and that something else came back wearing his body.

When Yoshiki finally confronts him, the creature does not deny the truth. Instead, it begs to remain at his side. Grief keeps Yoshiki clinging to this new “Hikaru” despite the fear he inspires, while an unsettling supernatural presence begins spreading through their quiet village. The longer Yoshiki refuses to let go, the more dangerous their impossible bond becomes.
