Macross Dynamite 7

Less than a year after the struggle surrounding the Macross 7 fleet, Basara Nekki leaves Fire Bomber and travels alone to the planet Zola. There he meets Elma, a young admirer of his music, and discovers a society whose troubles soon pull him into another conflict despite his refusal to solve problems through ordinary violence.

Space whales migrate through the Zola system, attracting poachers determined to kill them for profit. Among those obsessed with the whales is Elma's father, Graham, whose personal fixation places him at odds with Basara. Once again Basara turns to the one power he truly believes in: singing, hoping his music can reach both people and creatures before greed turns the migration into slaughter.
