Karaoke Iko!

Satomi Oka should be proud that his school choir placed second at a national competition, yet he can only see the mistakes he believes he made, especially with graduation approaching and his time leading the choir nearly over. In the middle of that anxiety, a yakuza named Kyouji Narita approaches him with a request no middle school student expects: teach him how to sing.

Every year, Kyouji's group holds a karaoke contest, and their boss punishes the worst performer with a tattoo of his own design. Desperate to avoid last place, Kyouji needs someone to find a song suited to his voice and train him properly. Satomi reluctantly agrees, beginning a strange series of practice sessions between a perfectionist student and a gangster more frightened of singing than fighting. Over time, each finds something in the other's problem that helps him face his own.
