Mayumi Doujima has searched for a star she saw as a child and promised her parents that she will abandon her dream of becoming an astronaut if she cannot find it by age 14. Manabu Soutouin hears her story and brings in Yubiwa Academy's Pretty Boy Detective Club, an eccentric group of talented students who approach mysteries with considerable flair. Mayumi herself has extraordinary eyesight, able to notice details other people miss. Their search soon suggests that the lost star is not an innocent childhood puzzle at all. What began as a personal dream pulls Mayumi into a case reaching far beyond school and the night sky.
