Princess Amabie once appeared in Edo to protect people from an epidemic, but the chaotic modern age still gives her plenty of reasons to intervene. Living alongside her grandfather, she faces a new collection of everyday troubles with supernatural confidence and a habit of making situations stranger before they get better.

From social anxieties to absurd emergencies, Amabie tries to help the people around her in her own unpredictable way. Her old-fashioned origins and the contradictions of contemporary life repeatedly collide, producing an eccentric mixture of folklore, satire, and slapstick.
