The 999 is forced to stop on a petrified planet after someone obstructs its route. When Tetsuro approaches the stone figure of a beautiful girl, a warrior named Julius attacks him and takes his railway pass.

The girl is Julius’s wife, and their tragedy began when he put a military duty before their honeymoon to investigate a threatening cloud of gas. Recovering the stolen pass draws Tetsuro into the warrior’s painful conflict between love, duty, and pride.
