Peace seems to have returned to Planet Elementros after Optimus Prime and Megatron defeat World Dragnus and depart. Then a mysterious light engulfs the planet and scrambles the elemental powers of its Energy Beasts, throwing the natural balance into confusion.

At the same time, Rexblade awakens from an ancient sleep beside the wolf-like warrior Silvertail. Neither remembers who they truly are. Able to shift between three forms and draw greater strength from his bonds with other Transformers, Rexblade begins searching for the truth behind his lost past, the strange power stirring across Elementros, and the destiny that woke him now.
