Oshiete Hokusai! The Animation

Tenkorin Okakura dreams of becoming a great painter, but she has one small problem: she would like success without practice or effort. When she wishes for her dream to come true that easily, the thunder god Raijin hears her and grants the request in a very different way. Instead of making her an artist overnight, he summons real painters from history to teach her. Hokusai and other masters from different eras and styles confront Tenkorin with new ways of seeing art, technique, and creativity. Through the lessons she originally hoped to avoid, she begins to understand that talent cannot replace practice and that becoming an artist may be more rewarding than simply wishing for the finished result.
