Rito’s already chaotic life spins through several new incidents after the recent turmoil. A late-night ghost-story contest between Nemesis and Momo turns frightening tales into another rivalry, while a separate clinic mishap proves that embarrassment follows Rito even into situations that should be completely ordinary.

The arrival of Sephie Michaela Deviluke, mother of Lala, Nana, and Momo, brings an entirely different problem. As a Charmian, Sephie keeps her face veiled because her beauty can overwhelm men around her, leaving her daughters to manage the commotion caused by a simple family visit.

Later, an accident with one of Lala’s inventions shrinks Rito and Haruna, forcing them to hide together until the effect wears off. The mishap unexpectedly pushes their long-buried feelings forward and brings the two closer to finally admitting what they have struggled to say.
