Aquarion Evol

Twelve thousand years after the age of the original Aquarion, humanity on Vega lives under attacks from the Abductors of Altair. Neo-DEAVA trains young pilots to fight them in machines called Aquaria, but male and female candidates are kept strictly apart and forbidden from forming a combined unit.

Amata Sora has spent his life hiding the strange power that lets him fly. When he meets Mikono Suzushiro and an Abductor attack erupts around them, instinct drives the two into the cockpit and breaks Neo-DEAVA's greatest taboo: a union between male and female Aquaria. The legendary Aquarion awakens again, and the forbidden act ties Amata and Mikono to a conflict whose roots reach far beyond their own lives.
