Megalo Box

A nameless fighter known as Junk Dog survives in illegal Megalo Box matches, a form of boxing where competitors use mechanical Gear to increase strength and speed. He has genuine talent, but his trainer Nanbu forces him to throw fights for gamblers, turning the ring he loves into work where he cannot even choose the result.

Everything changes when champion Yuuri enters his underground ring, defeats him effortlessly, and challenges him to reach Megalonia if he wants a real rematch. Junk Dog takes the name Joe and enters the tournament from the bottom of the rankings, with only three months to climb. Every opponent is stronger than the last, but for the first time Joe is fighting for an outcome he chose himself, determined to prove that someone from the underground can stand before the best boxer in the world.
