Hero Inside

Thirteen-year-old Mike's life changes when he finds one of the superhero comic books left behind by the missing cartoonist Scott. Calling the hero's name brings Crying Man out of the pages and into the real world, revealing that Scott's 100 scattered books contain heroes who can actually be summoned by their readers.

Mike is far from the only person to discover this secret. As more books surface across San Francisco, new heroes and dangerous readers turn the city into a stage for increasingly bizarre confrontations. Caught in the middle, Mike begins searching for the truth behind Scott's disappearance and the mysterious power hidden inside his comics.
