Xi Xing Ji: Zaijian Wukong

In the mortal world, the heavenly princess Su Yi meets Sun Wukong and the two fall in love. The immortals see Wukong only as a dangerous monster, and their violent opposition eventually leaves him imprisoned beneath a mountain, separated from the person who chose to see more in him than his rebellious power.

Over the next 300 years, Wukong's understanding of justice changes under the influence of Buddha. He later joins the Tang Monk on a journey to the Other World to recover the Fire of Creation for humankind. Yet surviving that perilous mission does not bring peace: a vast conspiracy is already unfolding around the returning travelers, ready to change Wukong's fate once again.
