Kemono Jihen

When livestock in a remote mountain village begin dying under strange circumstances and their bodies rot overnight, occult detective Kohachi Inugami is called in from Tokyo. His investigation draws him to Kabane, a quiet boy who works the fields and is treated as an outcast by nearly everyone around him. Inugami asks the boy to help with the case, and the trail soon leads beyond ordinary crime into the hidden world of Kemono, supernatural beings living alongside humanity. For Kabane, uncovering the truth behind the deaths does more than solve a village mystery. It forces him to confront questions about his own inhuman nature and offers him the first real chance to discover where he belongs.
