Uchuu Senkan Yamato III: Taiyoukei no Hakai

At the beginning of the 23rd century, war between the Galman-Gamilas Empire and the Bolar Federation reaches the Solar System when a stray missile strikes the Sun. The damage triggers an uncontrollable chain reaction: within roughly a year, solar activity will make Earth too hot for humanity to survive.

With no way to repair the Sun in time, the Yamato launches on a desperate search for another habitable planet. The voyage carries its veteran crew and young new members through the same interstellar conflict that caused Earth's crisis, forcing them to find a future for humanity while powerful empires continue fighting across the galaxy around them.
