Congming de Yixiu Zhi Fan Dou Gongzhu

Princess Yulan travels from Ming China to Japan determined to challenge the cleverest person she can find. Shogun Yoshimitsu chooses Ikkyu to face her, and after losing the contest, the stubborn princess becomes so impressed that she declares she wants to marry him and follows him to Ankokuji Temple.

Their battle of wits soon becomes more serious when a priceless gift from the Ming emperor is stolen by the Red Cat, a thief who is actually Ikkyu's old friend Akataro. Learning that Akataro steals to support his younger siblings and the poor, Ikkyu and Yulan try to save him from execution without abandoning the law or their own sense of compassion.
