Zhong Kui

An ordinary girl is drawn out of everyday life after a strange encounter brings her face to face with Zhong Kui, the legendary vanquisher of ghosts and demons. What first appears to be a single supernatural disturbance opens into a chain of cases where human grudges mingle with restless spirits and creatures that thrive on fear. Zhong Kui can subdue monsters, but each mystery exposes another thread leading toward a larger scheme threatening the mortal world itself. As the girl learns to see what has always been hiding behind familiar streets and ordinary lives, she discovers that solving a haunting requires more than defeating whatever appears in the dark. The most dangerous monsters are not always the ones that can be seen.
