Shuiro no Kamen

Pelle, pupil of legendary mask maker Gaston Roux, can create masks that grant their wearers extraordinary abilities. One day the Mask of the Warrior God takes control of him and forces him to kill his friends and even his own master. When he finally regains himself, he makes a single vow: find Gaston's masks scattered across the world and destroy them before they create more tragedies.

His journey brings him to the mysterious girl Sonah and to wearers made stronger and more dangerous by the masks they possess. Each mask carries both power and a will capable of consuming its owner, while every battle reminds Pelle of the crime he is trying to atone for. To stop others from repeating his mistake, he must first learn to live with guilt that no blade can destroy.
