Adachi to Shimamura

Sakura Adachi and Hougetsu Shimamura meet by chance on the upper floor of the school gym, where both would rather pass the time than attend class. Their connection begins with table tennis and casual conversations that ask very little of either girl, but the quiet space gradually becomes a fixed part of their days. For Shimamura, the friendship is comfortable as long as it does not become too complicated. Adachi, however, starts realizing that her desire to stay beside Shimamura no longer resembles what she feels for any ordinary friend. With each outing, message, and stretch of silence, the two search for the right distance between them. Adachi increasingly fears that saying what she truly wants could either create the relationship she longs for or destroy the one she already has.
