Lupin III: Episode 0 "First Contact"

Before they became an inseparable gang, Lupin, Jigen, Fujiko, Goemon, and Zenigata were strangers whose separate targets happened to converge in America. Jigen, still working for the mafia, is ordered to guard an ancient treasure. Lupin and Fujiko both want to steal it, Goemon searches for an heirloom connected to his clan, and Japanese detective Zenigata crosses the ocean while pursuing Fujiko.

Every alliance is temporary and every introduction begins with suspicion, gunfire, or deception. As the artifact draws criminals and thieves into the same struggle, the personalities that will define the group collide for the first time. Jigen's account of those days reveals how five people who had every reason to oppose one another somehow became lifelong partners, rivals, and pursuers.
