Teacher Hiyori Hiwamura's reputation reaches the classroom before she does. Students call her the Scary Teacher and trade rumors that anyone who angers her will be cursed. Akihito Abikura, one of her students, believes the same image until he encounters Hiyori after school and sees what nobody else knows: she is painfully shy, gentle, and intimidating mostly because she has no idea how to express herself. Akihito becomes the one person who understands the truth and begins helping whenever her awkward behavior makes her reputation even worse.
