Star Saber leads the Autobots in a long struggle against Deszaras and the Decepticons, whose search for energy and destructive power repeatedly brings the war to Earth and beyond. Battles involving the Brainmasters, Dinoforce, Multiforce, and other teams reveal a conflict far larger than any single clash.

As the campaign is revisited from different angles, events involving other Transformer warriors are folded into the wider struggle, connecting battles that once seemed separate. The result is a broad view of the Autobots' resistance and the many fronts on which the Decepticons' ambitions have to be stopped.
