Captain Tsubasa

For Tsubasa Oozora, football is not a pastime but the center of his world. The 11-year-old moves with his mother to Nankatsu, a city famous for strong youth teams, hoping to find competition that can push his talent further. There he collides with brilliant goalkeeper Genzo Wakabayashi, whose goal seems almost impossible to breach, and catches the attention of former Brazilian player Roberto Hongo. Rivalries gradually become friendships, and every match gives Tsubasa's dream a clearer shape: one day he wants to wear Japan's colors and lead his country onto the World Cup stage.
