Kazuya Mishima has carried one memory since childhood: his father Heihachi throwing him from a cliff to test whether he was worthy of the Mishima bloodline. Years later, Kazuya enters a tournament known as the King of Iron Fist, where victory offers him the chance he has waited for to confront Heihachi and settle that hatred.

The tournament draws fighters for very different reasons. Jun Kazama and detective Lei Wulong investigate the Mishima empire's illegal experiments involving cloning and genetic engineering, while others chase the enormous prize. Behind the martial arts spectacle, Heihachi's ambitions hide a danger far greater than any participant expects.
