After defeating Shiratorizawa, Karasuno finally earns its long-awaited place at nationals. As preparations begin, Kageyama is invited to the All-Japan Youth Training Camp, while Tsukishima receives a place at a special first-year camp in Miyagi. Hinata receives no invitation at all and responds by sneaking into the Miyagi camp as a ball boy.

What initially feels humiliating forces him to study volleyball from a perspective he has never learned through jumping and attacking. He watches players, reads movement, and turns every ball he retrieves into a lesson. When the team reunites, Karasuno begins building a more complete version of itself, because nationals will not give them time to compensate for weaknesses they have continued to ignore.
